The recap

The ballroom turned up the heat for Dance-Off Night, delivering high-stakes routines across the dance floor. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson set the standard for the evening, pacing the leaderboard with an electric 29 from the judges. Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov kept the pressure on with a dazzling 28 of their own, matched on the judges' sheets by Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy. Meanwhile, Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong made the biggest splash of the broadcast, pairing a sharp 27 from the panel with a crucial challenge victory.

That challenge bonus proved pivotal for Paul & Max, who secured a 199-to-187 weekly victory. In addition to Miller's league-leading 30-point fantasy haul, Paul & Max capitalized on the fireworks from Shum and Dewan, easily absorbing a quiet 20-point floor from Connor Wood. Beth & Aiden put up a fierce fight behind Glenn, Ezra Frech (27), and Giada De Laurentiis (26), but their lineup took heavy damage at the tail end, dragged down by sub-20 outings from Conner Leavitt and Guillermo Rodriguez.

Through two weeks of competition, Paul & Max have widened their advantage to 376 total points, establishing a 21-point cushion over Beth & Aiden, who now sit at 355. While the heavy hitters on both rosters continue to trade blows at the top of the leaderboard, the championship chase may ultimately be decided in the middle of the pack. Beth & Aiden will need their lower-scoring couples to step up next week if they hope to trim the deficit and swing momentum back in their favor.
